Programs

MaP & Tell

The MaP & Tell Unconference is a free series of virtual gatherings hosted twice a year. MaP & Tell events give museum professionals a chance to go deeper into our community themes and share what they’ve learned in other community programs and labs.

Book Club

Book Club helps us dig deeper into our chosen themes. Participants meet weekly to read a title of their choosing. See what we’ve read so far, and check out what titles we may read next.

Research Office Hours

Office Hours offer community members time to talk through a particular challenge they're trying to address in their museum. Office Hours hosts are often joined by a special guest to discuss a particular learning challenge or research method.

Membership Innovation

The Membership Innovation Group offers practical tips and valuable resources on museum member experience, benefits, retention, program management, marketing strategies, and more.

Progress Parlor

MaP’s Progress Parlor is where we host free pop-up events for community members to go deeper into our seasonal themes and host discussions that respond to emergent community goals.

On-Demand Programming

Members can catch up on past program recordings in the Recordings Library. Watch past sessions from The Membership Innovation Group, Research Office Hours, MaP & Tell sessions, and workshops at your own pace.

MaP Academy

MaP Academy trains individuals in progress-space research skills (e.g., listening for interior cognition, data synthesis, and opportunity mapping). As they develop these skills, members become eligible to contribute to MaP Labs.
