MAP Office Hours: Better Surveys With Jim Pripusich

In this Office Hours event, special guest @Jim Pripusich from Corona Insights joins us to discuss developing better surveys to support your museum's goals. This session is a good chance for you to tap into Jim's expertise. For example, you might be: • planning a learning initiative ("Is a survey the right approach?"),  • wondering how you can improve an existing instrument ("How can we get more responses?"), or  • trying to figure out with results that have already come in ("How can we socialize the findings?") Bring your experience and challenges to our discussion. About JimJim Pripusich, PhD, has expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methods. As a political scientist, he has honed his skills in explaining the causes of attitudes and behaviors in addition to the consequences of policy and institutional change. Jim is currently a Director at Corona Insights, a Denver-based market research, strategic planning, and evaluation firm. In his time at Corona, Jim has been lucky enough to help many museums and cultural organizations better impact the communities they serve. He has led the research behind the Omaha Children’s Museum recent strategic plan and executed surveys, focus groups, and data analyses to support the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA), Children’s Museum of Denver, Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, Denver Arts and Venues, and the many others. Jim holds a PhD and Master of Arts in political science from the University of Colorado Boulder with a minor in quantitative methods.
