In this MAP & Tell session, we'll say goodbye to The Belonging Project with a series of exercises and discussions that draw on our readings this season in MAP Book Club (including Belonging: The Science of Creating Connection and Bridging Divides by Geoffrey Cohen and Good Talk: How to Design Conversations That Matter by Daniel Stillman). Participants will practice appreciative inquiry, values affirmations, and identify the levers of Belonging that help us navigate unfamiliar spaces. At the end of this session, you'll come away with a better understanding of what fuels Belonging and how you might cultivate a feeling of Belonging among the people your museum supports through wise interventions. All are welcome to participate. You do not need to have participated in our Book Club or be familiar with the reading to join this session. ParticipationThis session is free, and registration is not necessary. Members can RSVP above↗ to receive an emailed reminder before the event begins. Non-members can click the Location link above↗ at the designated time to join the session. About the MAP & Tell ConferenceMAP & Tell is a biannual virtual series that brings together Museums As Progress community members, newsletter readers, and any other museum professionals interested in our seasonal themes. Sessions are always free and open to all.
