About Vivian Zavataro
As the Executive and Creative Director at Ulrich Museum of Art, I oversee all the operational and administrative management, strategic planning, as well as the vision for exhibitions and educational initiatives of the museum. With over 10 years of experience in curating, writing, and exhibiting contemporary art, I bring a diverse and inclusive perspective to the museum's programming and outreach.
My main goal is to foster dialogue and engagement between art and the public, educating and inspiring museum visitors and community members. I have curated and collaborated on multiple exhibitions, publications, and events that showcase the work of local, national, and international artists. Some of the highlights include the retrospective exhibition “Guillermo Bert: The Journey” at Nevada Museum of Art funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, “The Lilley Co-Lab,” funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art, and “Leonor Fini | Not a Muse, an Artist.”
Currently pursuing my PhD in Curatorial Studies, I am passionate about creating innovative and accessible art experiences that reflect the cultural and social issues of our time.
