Our theme in the MaP Community this season is Motivations & Goals. We’ll wrap up the season in May with a series of MaP & Tell Unconference sessions. These sessions will be free and open to all (you don’t have to be a MaP member to participate). Unconference sessions are designed to give active members a chance to reflect on what they’ve learned throughout the season. For those new to MaP or haven’t been able to participate much this season, these sessions give you a chance to catch up on highlights from the season. What to expect this springIn the lives of many cultural professionals today, we have a responsibility to guide our institutions towards success and relevance in our ever-changing world. We often face challenges, obstacles, and moments of doubt. We deal with limited resources, tight budgets, and public scrutiny. During these times, our motivation can decrease, and our goals may seem distant or unachievable. However, motivation is what drives us, igniting our actions and pushing us forward, even when the path seems difficult. Goals act as a compass, guiding our decisions and actions, giving us purpose and helping us prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively. But maintaining motivation can be challenging, especially when we face internal resistance, external pressures, or the uncertainties of life. If you relate to this, we invite you to join the spring MaP and Tell unconference, which will focus on motivations and goals. During this three-day event, we will have sessions, panels, and workshops to provide a space for us to connect and discuss what has and hasn't been working. We will explore how we can inspire and motivate our teams, develop resilience in the face of obstacles, and adapt our strategies to changing circumstances, which ultimately determine our success. Leave a question or encouraging word in a comment belowI’m looking forward to facilitating this season’s conference! If you have any questions about the unconference, feel free to leave a comment on this event.
