FAQ
Why isn’t this free?
A typical single-session event with one guest costs $300 to $500 to produce—this includes transcripts and closed captions for recordings, honoraria, supporting software and services, as well as administrative costs. Since MaP does not have sponsors or ads, which would compromise the experience we want to give our members, we ask members to help address these costs. Ultimately, a free community will struggle to survive, and we want the MaP Community to be around for years to come!
Can’t I just start a free trial, watch the recordings, and then cancel before I have to pay anything?
Sure! And if you’d like to restart your Recordings Library membership in six months or a year, you could purchase a monthly membership and catch up on any new material. We’ve tried to make it as accessible as possible for as many people as we can. :-)
How do I manage my account? (renewals, cancelations, and payment methods)

Subscription renewals are automatic, but you’ll get a reminder email 30 days before your membership renews. You can update or cancel your membership at any time in a few clicks:

Recordings are hosted in the MAP Community website: https://community.museumprogress.com/c/on-demand-programs/
The page will be locked until you join, but after you start a free trial, you’ll have access to all content. Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll see:
